Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Jacques Attali, an outstanding French politician, during his visit to France, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President’s press-service. French economist and politician Jaques Attali is one of the world’s leading theorists of globalization and economic problems. He has written many books and scientific researches. According to the President’s press-service, the talks covered possible ways of further interaction in financial-investment, trade and economic and other areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and France. Besides, the meeting covered political and economic development of the EU countries amid the current international developments, as well as problems and prospects of overcoming the negative trends in the global economy. Attali used to be an advisor to former French president Francois Mitterrand and was the first head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
