New Ambassadors of Kazakhstan have been appointed to Brazil and Vietnam, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan President’s press-service. “Bakytzhan Ordabayev has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Brazil. By the presidential decree Bakytzhan Ordabayev was released from the position of the permanent representative of Kazakhstan in the Eurasian Economic Community in relation to moving to a new job,” the press-service writes. Bakytzhan Ordabayev served as Kazakhstan's permanent representative in the Eurasian Economic Community since September 2008. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the United States Yerlan Idrissov was released from his combined duties of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Brazil. Kazakhstan Ambassador to the U.S. combined the duties of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Brazil since September 2007. He was born in Karaganda oblast on April 28, 1959. He started his diplomatic activities in Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry in 1985. He worked as assistant to Kazakhstan President and Vice-Minister. He served as Foreign Minister from 1999 to 2002. In 2002 he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Great Britain. Later he was also appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Sweden, Norway and Ireland. In 2007 he was released from position of the Ambassador to Great Britain, Sweden, Norway and Ireland and appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the U.S. and on September 11, 2007 he started combining the duties of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Brazil. Besides, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to China Nurlan Yermekbayev was appointed to combine the duties of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Vietnam. Nurlan Yermekbayev was born on January 1, 1963. He is fluent on Chinese, English and Portuguese; he has a title of the 1st-class Minister Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. He worked as deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan since January 2007, In September 2010 he was appointed assistant to Kazakhstan President. In April 2012 Kazakhstan President appointed him Kazakhstan Ambassador to China.
