A new Finance Minister has been appointed in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews reports citing the presidential press-service. "Bakhyt Sultanov is hereby released from his position of the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration and appointed Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan," the decree publicized on the official website of the Kazakhstan President says. Bolat Zhamishev, who had been the Finance Minister of Kazakhstan for 6 years, was appointed Minister of Regional Development of Kazakhstan by another presidential decree. "Bolat Zhamishev is hereby released from the position of the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan and appointed Minister of Regional Development of Kazakhstan," the decree said. Bakhyt Sultanov used to serve as Vice-Minister of Economic Affairs and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan from June 2003 to February 2006. Then he was chaired the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan. Between January 2007 and August 2007 he served as Vice-Minister of Finance. He was appointed Minister of Economic Affairs and Budget Planning on August 10, 2007. Sultanov was appointed Advisor to the Kazakhstan President in 2010. On January 21, 2012 Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the decree appointing him to the position of Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration.
