Ruslan Zhaksylylov has been appointed Commander-in-Chief of the internal military troops of Kazakhstan's Interior Ministry, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan President’s press-service. Before the appointment general-major Zhaksylylov served as Commander of the internal military troops of Kazakhstan Interior Ministry. Ruslan Zhaksylykov was born on March 4, 1966 in Kaskelen town of Almaty oblast. He graduated from command and staff prestrategic combat intelligence school in Frunze Military Academy. In the period from 1987 to 2006 he served at different positions ranging from squad commander to general commanding officer.
