Tastanbek Yessentayev has been appointed the new Chairman of the Agency for Sports and Physical Culture of Kazakhstan, Vesti.kz reports.
The Prime-Minister presented the new Chairman of the Agency to the staff. Before this appointment Tastanbek Yessentayev used to be Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Sports and Physical Culture since March, 2013.
He replaced Yerlan Kozhagapanov who held the office for less then one year.
According to Vesti.kz, Tastanbek Yessentayev was born in 1960 in Western Kazakhstan Oblast. He graduated from the Karaganda-based Pedagogical Institute with the Initial Military Training and Physical Education major. He also graduated from the Law School of the Kazakhstan-Russian University. Yessentayev completed the course of Thai Boxing Teacher-Trainer at the Bangkok-based Thai Boxing University. He is an honored Master of Sports of Kazakhstan in Sambo and the holder of the Black Belt in Kickboxing.
In the beginning of his career Yessentayev used to a PE teacher, and a thai boxing and kickboxing trainer during. He later headed the Physical Culture and Sports Department of Karaganda Obalst and the Sports Committee of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Kazakhstan.
