The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is going to pay an official visit to China, Tengrinews reports citing the presidential press-service. Nursultan Nazarbayev had a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of China Cheng Guoping who passed the regards of Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, and reported on the progress of preparations for the upcoming state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to China. Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized active participation of China in the work of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). He also underlined that preparations to the forthcoming summit of the CICA to be held in Shanghai in May 2014 are made on a high level. Nazarbayev summarized that relationships between Kazakhstan and China are developing dynamically and Kazakhstan is interested in further consolidation of economic and political partnership.
