Nazarbayev to take part in Council of Turkic Speaking States summit

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev will take part in the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) in Azerbaijan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Bolat Sadykov from the Central Communications Service. “Nursultan Nazarbayev will take part in the 3rd summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Gabala, Azerbaijan, on August 16,” Sadykov said at the briefing. He reminded that the first summit was held in 2011 in Almaty following the initiative of Kazakhstan President. The summit covered economic cooperation and resulted in signing of the Almaty Declaration. The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was established in 2009. It includes the Council of Presidents, the Council of Foreign Ministers and the Council of Aksakals (the elders). Four countries are the members of the Council: Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. By Altynai Zhumzhumina
