Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has made a number of appointments, Tengrinews reports citing the official website of the President.
The appointments come in wake of the recent government reorganisation announced by the president. In particular, Nazarbayev declared rearrangement of 17 ministries into 12 and of 54 committees into 30. Moreover, the president abolished the financial police.
Several high ranking appointments made by presidential decrees were announced earlier today. Nurlan Sauranbayev was appointed Deputy Defence Minister; Vladimir Bozhko was appointed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs; Daniyar Vagapov was appointed Executive Secretary for the Ministry of National Economy.
Relieved of their previous duties and appointed: Kanatbek Safinov as Executive Secretary for the Ministry of Energy and Beibut Atamkulov as Executive Secretary for the Ministry of Investment and Development.
Yergazy Nurgaliyev was relieved of his duties as Executive Secretary for the National Space Agency and Daulet Yedilovich Yergozhin was relieved of his duties as Head of Social and Economic Monitoring Department of the Executive Office of the President due to his transfer to another job.
In addition, Zamir Saginov was relieved of his duties as Executive Secretary for the Ministry of Transport and Communications; Anatoly Dernovoi was relieved of his duties as Executive Secretary for the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources; Nurlan Abdi was relieved of his duties as Executive Secretary for the Agency of Competition Protection (the Antimonopoly Agency).
