Nazarbayev instructed to make good presentation for EXPO-2017 final voting

Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed to prepare a good presentation for the final voting on EXPO-2017, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President's press-service. The instruction was made at the meeting with Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov. Massimov said that a presentation of Kazakhstan's bid to host EXPO-2017 was held in Paris. In this relation the President instructed to prepare a good-quality presentation of Kazakhstan prior to the final voting. The presentation in Paris included a video address of Kazakhstan President. "Your speech was perceived well and the fact that the President pays his personal attention to hosting this event is a big advantage and significantly increases Kazakhstan's chances. In general, I think that the presentation was successful. Belgium made its presentation as well. This is a serious competitor. The fnal decition will be made on November 22," Karim Massimov told the President. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that the presentation of Astana's bid to host EXPO-2017 was held at the 151st General Assembly of the International Exhibitions Bureau in Paris on June 12. Karim Massimov also told Kazakhstan President about current social and economic situation in the country. The President stressed the importance of the report on the results of the country's development in H1: "In the beginning of July I will check the quality of performance of the tasks and the actual achievement of the key milestones of the State Program of Accelerated Industrial-Innovative Development. Besides, the sowing campaign is over and the harvesting campaign is ahead of us. It is important to make it successful. We also need to start preparing for the coming winter heating season. Certain instructions have to be made on these and other issues," Nursultan Nazarbayev said. The President set several tasks and gave certain instructions to Prime-Minister at the end of the meeting.
