Nazarbayev instructed Environmental Protection Minister on switching to green economy

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Minister of Environmental Protection Nurlan Kapparov and gave him instructions on development of a strategy for transferring to the “green economy”, President’s press-service writes. The Minister reported to the President on the results of the UN conference on sustainable development RIO +20 and the perspectives of development of the “green economy” in the country. “Kazakhstan has achieved good results in entering the President’s initiatives - the Global Energy-Ecological Strategy and the Green Bridge Partnership Program - into the final documents of RIO +20,” Kapparov said.
