Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated Vladimir Putin on the victory in the elections, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President's press-service. In a telephone conversation the President congratulated Putin on the confident victory in the elections of the President of Russia. "Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the 20th anniversary of the historic agreement, a treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual aid between Russia and Kazakhstan, will be celebrated in May," the press-service writes. The press-service have also published the text of the telegram that Kazakhstan President sent to Vladimir Putin. Addressing the new Russian president, Nazarbayev writes that, voting for Putin, Russian people chose continuity of the policies aimed at effective implementation of the country's potential. "I am confident that you, relying on the support of Russian people, will apply all your knowledge, efforts and experience to ensure further economic growth, social well-being, maintain political stability and enhance international image of Russia. I am sure that your activities as Russian President will be aimed at consistent implementation of the existing agreements and strengthening of kind and trustworthy relations between our countries. I wish you good health and new achievements in office Russian president and peace and prosperity to you Russian people," the telegram states. Nazarbayev invited Putin to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan.
