Nazarbayev appoints new ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Amangeldy Zhumabayev

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has appointed a new ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President’s press-service. “Amangeldy Zhumabayev has been appointed Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan,” the press-service writes. Amangeldy Zhumabayev was born on October 4, 1951 in Almaty oblast. Earlier he served as Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan. He graduated from mechanics and mathematics school of Kirov Kazakh State University (1974), planning and economics school of Almaty National Economics Institute (1978), USSR Cabinet National Economics Academy (1991). And he is a full-time graduate school of the All-Union Scientific-Research Institute of Agricultural Economy (Moscow, 1982). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics. Zhumabayev has been in the diplomatic service since November 1996: Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia, Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan at first. Starting from December 2003 to May 2011 he combined the positions of Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine and Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moldova. Zhumabayev has a diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
