Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov will discuss the situation in the world economy with his colleagues in the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) on November 7 during a meeting of Heads of Government Council of the SCO-states in Saint-Petersburg, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “During the meeting the parties plan to discuss the situation in the world economy and the SCO space, further enhancement of cooperation and activation of interaction between the SCO member-states in economic and humanitarian realms,” the press-service’s message states. The meetings are expected to result in a Joint Statement of Heads of Government of the SCO member-states on the economic situation in the world and the SCO space, Joint Communiqué, several decisions of the council approving a range of financial-economic SCO documents, Strategy of further development of Inter-bank SCO union for 2012-2016 and Memorandum of Understanding between the SCO Secretariat and the Secretariat of UN ESCAP (Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific). Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry said that this meeting of Heads of Government Council of the SCO-states will be timed to the 10th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
