Karim Massimov said that improvement of the work of customs in the Common Economic Space (CES) was a special task. Head of Kazakhstan government gave a speech on December 1 at the forum timed to social-economic development of Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports. Prime-Minister said that there is a huge work planned in the framework of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space. Joint work of businesses and experts of all the three countries was required to make it sucessful. PM said that at meetings with businessmen he frequently heard complains about trade policies with third countries. “I think that improvement of the work of customs services at the whole territory of the CES is the next task we have to give special attention to in order to make our business inside the CES even more competitive,” Karim Massimov said. Speaking of the economic situation in Kazakhstan and prospects of its development, Massimov said that the country’s economy entered a stable phase of development. “Economic development of 2010-2011 shows that Kazakhstan is at a stable stage of development again: 7-percent growth of the economy. The economic growth rate made 7 percent in 2010, and after 10 months of 2011 we already see 7-percent growth,” Massimov said and expressed his confidence that the rate would not change after the 11 months of 2011. The results will be announced in the nearest 2 weeks.
