Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov arrived in Minsk today, May 19, to participate in the sitting of CIS (Commonwealth of independent States) Heads of Government, Tengrinews.kz reports. The sittings of the Council of CIS Heads of Government and Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community (supreme body of the Customs Union) will be held in Belarus capital on May 19. As per the official website of the Customs Union Commission, the coming sitting of CU's supreme body will be the final meeting before July 1, 2011. On July 1 the transfer of the customs check points and other approved areas of state border control to external borders of the Customs Union is going to be finalized. Several international agreements establishing CU's legal framework are expected to be signed at the meeting. Review of the Declaration on Principles of the Eurasian Economic Union is also on the meeting's agenda. Karim Massimov will hold a separate meeting with his Kyrgyzstan counterpart Almazbek Atambayev.
