Berik Tolumbayev was appointed new Vice-Minister of Oil and Gas, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Prime-Minister's Twitter. “Berik Tolumbayev appointed Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas,” posted Karim Massimov. Tolumbayev has been holding the position of Director General of KazTransOil since February 2006. Earlier he worked as Deputy Director General of KazTransOli. Tolumbayev has been working in oil and gas industry since 1999. Berik Tolumbayev was born in Burnoe village of Zhambyl oblast. He graduated from Kirov Kazakh State University and Kainar University with the degree of Doctor of Economics.
