Kazakhstan passports
Latvia is ready for a visa-free regime for holders of Kazakhstan's diplomatic passports, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Secretary of State of Latvian Foreign Ministry Andris Teikmanis as saying after the meeting with Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov. “Last September I personally signed the agreement on visa-free regime for holders of our diplomatic passports, as well as the agreement on re-admission (the country’s agreement for return of its citizens). We hope that this agreement will come into effect in the nearest time. Latvia has already completed its local procedures on ratification of these agreements,” Andris Teikmanis said. He said that these agreements were a good step towards a more liberal and open exchange and step us traveling of the citizens of both countries. “Of course, this may have a good impact on development of tourism,” Latvian Foreign Ministry’s Secretary of State said.
