Famous American talk show host Larry King said that he would like to interview Nursultan Nazarbayev, Tengrinews.kz reports. King came to moderate the 6th KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum that opened on October 4 in Astana. Larry King gave a press-conference during the forum. “I haven’t met your president. I spent some time with your Prime-Minister, I liked him a lot, I find him a very interesting person. I would like to interview your president,” Larry King said. “You know, I never prepare questions beforehand. I usually ask: “What did surprise you?” What can surprise the president? This is an interesting question. Or “How did your city appear?” or “What do you think of Putin who is nominated for presidency again?” King said, thinking out loud of the supposed questions to Nursultan Nazarbayev. The legendary host interviewed over 50 thousand famous people in his career. The American guest admitted that he doesn’t know a lot about Kazakhstan. “Last week I had lunch with your Ambassador to UN and Kazakhstan Ambassador to USA in New York and they told me a lot about the country. It was very interesting to find out about gaining independence, the collapse of the Soviet Union. I am very impressed with this city (Astana). I didn’t even know what to expect. Your Ambassadors told me that this is a modern city and there has been nothing in its place 20 years ago. This is an outstanding success story. I think the city is worth noticing and the country, too. What you have done here is almost unbelievable. It’s hard to believe that there was almost nothing here,” Larry King told about Astana. He said that he had to fly to Moscow the same day, but noted that he would like to come to Kazakhstan again.
