Tengrinews.kz – King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan has arrived in Astana for an official visit, Akorda reported.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev personally welcomed the monarch at the capital’s airport. The Presidential press service released footage of the arrival ceremony.



On August 27, the two leaders are scheduled to hold talks and attend the Kazakhstan–Jordan business forum. Discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation in trade, economics, culture and humanitarian affairs.

Jordan, located on the east bank of the Jordan River, is known for its ancient monuments and natural reserves. It shares borders with Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Earlier this year, Tokayev made a historic first official visit to Jordan, where he was welcomed with a state ceremony including the national anthem, an honor guard and military salute.
