KazMunaiGas Exploration&Production has refuted reports about its central office's plans to move from Astana to Aktau, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the company’s press-service.
“The decision on relocation of the company’s office can only be taken by voting at the general meeting of KMG EP shareholders. This issue has not been put on the agenda of the shareholders yet,” the message states.
Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that the board of KazMunaiGas National Company will take a decision on moving the central office in the nearest time.
KazMunaiGas Exploration&Production was established in March 2004 via a merger of UzenMunaiGas and EmbaMunaiGas. KMG EP is the branch of KazMunaiGas National Company.
KMG EP is listed at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, its GDRs (global depository receipts) are listed at the London Stock Exchange. The company attracted over $2 billion during its IPO in September 2006.
