Umirzak Shukeyev has been released from his position as chairman of KazAtomProm, Kazakhstan national nuclear company, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the website of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).
The decision was made on June 19, 2012, at the meeting of the board of Samruk-Kazyna, the company’s shareholder. “Umirzak Shukeyev shall be released from his duties of the board member and the board chairman of KazAtomProm,” the website writes.
Deputy chairman of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund Kuandyk Bishimbayev replaced him as the new chairman of the board of KazAtomProm. Earlier Bishimbayev was appointed the company’s board member.
