Kazakhstan’s open foreign policy enabled the nation to foster alliances and strategic partnerships with the rest of the world, Newskaz.ru reports, citing President Nazarbayev as saying August 30, the nation’s Constitution Day. “We have been maintaining trust-based relations with all the neighboring countries; in fact Kazakhstan enjoys amicable relations with all other nations of the world”, President said when speaking at an international conference celebrating the Constitution. He emphasized that the Constitution lays the foundation for the nation’s commitment to an open foreign policy. “We’ve been developing economic integration with Russia and Belarus within the Customs Union. We’ve had friendly relations with the vast neighbours, that is China and Russia, both of whom are our major trade partners.
