They lauded interaction between the two nations, emphasizing that the agreements reached between the two national leaders are a paragon of interstate dynamic and fruitful cooperation that features good neighborliness and mutual understanding. The two sides stressed that the national parliaments would have to work much to facilitate implementation of the long-term documents signed by Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev and China’s leader Xi Jinping. The Memorandum of cooperation will enable the two sides to have parliament committees and cooperation groups exchange expertise and best practices and render mutual support within international parliamentary organizations. “The Memorandum seeks to render legislation support to strategic agreements reached between the two nations’ leaders”, Mr. Nigmatullin emphasized. NPCSC Chairman Zhang Dejiang also stressed the importance of strengthening interparliamentary ties to bring the agreements between the two national leaders to life. Following the talks, the Kazakh side suggested launching an interparliamentary committee for cooperation. The new committee is to hold its first sitting in Astana as early as next year.
