Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called upon Israel and Palestine to stop the bloodshed, Tengrinews reports citing the press service of the Ministry.

The Ministry expressed deep concern over the escalation of the crisis in the Gaza Strip that caused numerous civilian deaths.

“We are calling upon Israel and Palestine to take immediate and effective measures to stop the bloodshed and resume peaceful negotiations. Kazakhstan supports the initiative and concerted efforts of the international community, particularly under the auspices of the UN, involving development of mutually acceptable conditions and approaches to resolving the decades-old conflict,” the statement said.

The Ministry added that further escalation would most certainly lead to destabilization of the entire Middle East, which would be a blow to both the conflicting parties and the international community that was working towards achieving long-term peace and stability in the region.
