Kazakhstan to take part in G20 summit

Kazakhstan will take part in the G20 Summit in Saint-Petersburg in September, KazTAG reports citing the official Kazakhstan media. Kazakhstan Ambassador to Moscow Galym Orazbakov met with First Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrey Denissov who passed the invitation to the summit on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. "During the meeting First Deputy Minister Andrey Denissov passed a personal invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev to take part in the G20 Summit to be held in Saint-Petersburg in September," the message states. Kazakhstan is the first and only post-Soviet country to be invited to the September summit. "This emphasizes the strategically important and friendly relations between our countries that the two presidents have laid the foundation for, as well as the weight of our country in the world arena," the message states. The invitations to the summit were also passed to 5 other countries that are not members of the G20, including Spain and Singapore. Denissov noted that the main objective of Russian chairmanship at the summit is to focus the forum of the world's biggest economies on development of solution for the key economic and financial problems that influence the economic growth and jobs markets in all the countries of the world. Orazbakov thanked the Russian party for the invitation and stressed the historical significance of the coming event in the context of the changing trends in the global economy. The G20 (Group of Twenty) is the organization uniting countries from different regions with different levels of economic development, as well as leading international financial organizations based on their interest in collective solution of the most important global economic and financial issues. The G20 members include: Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey and the U.S.
