Kazakhstan will render humanitarian aid to Turkish people in relation to recent devastating earthquake, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Emergency Situations. The Ministry's aviation will deliver the aid to Turkey: 5,065 tons of canned meat, 12 tons of buckwheat, 20 winter tents 10 seats each, 20 heaters, 200 blankets, 1 ton of tea and 15 tons of pasta. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that Nursultan Nazarbayev sent a telegram with condolences to Turkish President Abdullah Gul. Kazakhstan President noted that Kazakhstan is ready to render aid to the people who fell victims of the disaster. 7.2-magnitude quake hit Van province, south-east Turkey, on October 23. Another strong 6.0-magnitude shock was registered at night of October 24. Over 150 aftershocks hit the region in 12 hours. According to the latest information, over 400 people were estimated to have been killed in the disaster.
