Tengrinews.kz – Speaking at a lecture at the United Nations University, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that the principles of Japanese ethics are close to his own convictions.

The Head of State noted that these values remain relevant in the modern world, finding reflection both in public administration and in international relations.

“As Prince Shōtoku wrote in the 7th century, ‘harmony should be valued above all,’” Tokayev said. “Today, this principle remains central to public governance and international relations and finds vivid expression in Kazakhstan’s foreign policy.”

Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks in Tokyo with the heads of major Japanese companies.
