Tengrinews.kz - The Kazakh government has approved an agreement on a visa-free regime with Thailand.

Under the new visa-free regime, travelers from Kazakhstan and other countries can enter Thailand without the need to obtain a visa before or after arrival. However, they must pass through a border control where their passports will be checked.

"Citizens of either side holding a valid travel document with a validity of at least 6 months can enter, exit, transit, and stay temporarily in the territory of the other side without a visa for up to 30 consecutive days or 90 days within each 180-day period," the agreement states.

The agreement specifies that if citizens intend to stay in the other country for more than 30 days, they must obtain the appropriate visa required by the laws and regulations of that country.

The government decree comes into effect on the day it is signed.

Kazakhstanis can stay longer in Thailand without a visa.
