Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Foreign Ministers Yerzhan Kazykhanov and Abdulaziz Kamilov signed a program of cooperation between the ministries for 2012-2014, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry. “The official visit of Uzbekistan President Islam Karimov started on September 6 in Astana on invitation of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The visit included a meeting of Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov and Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov,” the message states. According to the press-service, the participants of the meeting discussed the current situation and prospects of development of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and interaction in international organizations. They also exchanged opinions on the current situation in Central Asia.
