Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan and Iran formalized eight bilateral agreements as members of the two countries’ official delegations exchanged documents in the presence of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The signed intergovernmental and interagency documents include:
- Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between Kazakhstan and Iran;
- Amendment Protocol to the Agreement on International Road Transport of Passengers and Cargo;
- Cooperation Programme between the foreign ministries of the two countries;
- Cultural Exchange Programme between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information and Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance for 2026–2028;
- Memorandum of Understanding on Intellectual Property Cooperation between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Justice and Iran’s State Organization for Registration of Deeds and Properties;
- MoU on Strategic Cooperation in Transport, Transit and Logistics between the transport ministries;
- MoU on Cooperation in Healthcare between the health ministries of both states;
- MoU between the Presidential Television and Radio Complex of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
Earlier, Akorda hosted the official welcoming ceremony for President Pezeshkian, who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit. The two leaders also held talks in a narrow format.
