Kazakhstan and Indonesia expanding mutual capital investments

Kazakhstan and Indonesia are expanding mutual capital investments, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan President’s official website. During the state visit to Indonesia Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Indonesian Coordinator Minister for Economy Rajasa Hatta. “The meeting covered further strengthening of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and expansion of capital investments. The agreement was reached to create inter-government work groups on different issues of development of both countries’ economies. Indonesia is interested in opening light industry facilities at the territory of Kazakhstan and joint development of transit-transport infrastructure of our country. Kazakhstan is ready to arrange supplies of mineral fertilizers to Indonesia,” Kazakhstan President’s press-service wrote. Commodities turnover between Kazakhstan and Indonesia made over $35 million in 2011. Kazakhstan-Indonesian business council was presented in Astana this March. The President also visited an exhibition of the leading Indonesian companies. He checked on the major companies producing tires, cars and real estate companies. Besides, Nursultan Nazarbayev was shown the industrial conglomerates with assets in cellulose-paper, mining industries and agriculture. Nursultan Nazarbayev also reviewed investment companies working in mining, energy, food, oil chemistry and construction. The exhibition was participated by the regional government of West Java that is the key economic center of development of industry and services, the President’s website wrote. By Assel Satayeva
