During the forthcoming visit of President Nazarbayev to Germany Kazakhstan and Germany are to sign a substantial package of economic agreements that will further foster ties between Astana and Berlin, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Philipp Rösler, Germany’s Minister of Economics and Technology, as quoted by the Kazakh Foreign Ministry. Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Nurlan Onzhanov met Philipp Rösler in Berlin. “The German politician said (…) that the forthcoming visit of President Nazarbayev will give a political “Go!” sign for the national economies and a new impetus to the large-scaled mutually beneficial partnership”, the Foreign Ministry’s statement reads. “Kazakhstan’s Ambassador outlines the major points of President Nazarbayev’s State of the Nation Address (…) The sides dwelt on possible cooperation to develop vocational schools in Kazakhstan – a realm where Germany hold leading positions in the global ranking. The sides also spoke of expanding cooperation in metallurgy, chemicals production, agriculture and medicine (…)”, the statement elaborates. This year Kazakhstan and Germany will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties.
