Kazakhstan and China to sign agreement on border checkpoints

An Agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and China on the border checkpoints is to be signed during Nursultan Nazarbayev’s visit to China, Tengrinews.kz reports. A meeting with Chinese President Hu Jintao and signing of two documents are on the agenda of the official visit of Kazakhstan President on June 6. One of these documents is the Agreement between the governments of both countries on the border checkpoints. The document will be signed by Kazakhstan Ministers of Transport and Communications Askar Zhumagaliyev and the head of the China Customs director Yu Guangzhou. The second document is a joint declaration of Kazakhstan and China; it will be signed by Nursultan Nazarbayev and Hu Jintao. Kazakhstan President will also take part in the Council of Heads of SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) member-states.
