Kazakhstan and Canada to sign peaceful atom cooperation

The Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird will arrive in Kazakhstan with the first official visit. The governments of the two countries are expected to sign an agreement on cooperation in the peaceful atom during the visit, Tengrinews reports citing the official representative of Kazakhstan President’s Central Communications Service Altai Abibulayev. "Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev and Foreign Minister of Canada John Baird plan to sign an agreement on cooperation in the peaceful use of atomic energy," Abibulayev said during the briefing. The Canadian Foreign Minister will visit Kazakhstan on November 13-14. "Canada is an important partner for Kazakhstan in the Euro-Atlantic block. The purpose of the visit is to exchange opinions on a wide range issues of mutual interest. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Canada will also discuss deepening of the comprehensive cooperation between Kazakhstan and Canada," the official representative said.
