Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov and Premier of Chinese State Council Wen Jiabao have met in Saint-Petersburg on November 7, Tengrinews.kz reports. The meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO member-states starts today. According to the press-service of Kazakhstan Prime-Minister, “Karim Massimov and Wen Jiabao exchanged their opinions on bilateral relations, development of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) and other issues of interest to both countries”. Premier of Chinese State Council congratulated Kazakhstan residents on the 20th anniversary of independence. Karim Massimov is also planning to meet with Vice-President of Aghanistan Karim Khalili during the event in Saint-Petersburg. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO member-states will cover the situation in the world economy and the SCO space, further enhancement of cooperation and activation of interaction between the SCO member-states in economic and humanitarian realms.
