Issekeshev to attract investments in U.S.

A Kazakhstan delegation led by Kazakhstan Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev will visit the U.S. on December 5-11, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry. The delegation will visit Washington, New York and San-Francisco, where it will hold talks and meetings with members of the U.S. administration, World Bank and transnational companies. According to the press-secretary of Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and New Technologies Kaisar Zhumabaiuly, the main goal of the trip is to attract investments to Kazakhstan and discuss the bilateral relations. “This will be a business trip. For us this trip will be valuable as we will be negotiating joint projects in Kazakhstan,” Zhumabaiuly said. According to him, they will meet with representatives of American transnational companies of different areas of business. “This are engineering, pharmaceutics, agrarian, oil and gas sector and telecommunications. For example, Minister plans to meet with Vice-President of General Electric, chairman of the U.S. Exim Bank. The plan is also to meet with U.S. Secretary of Energy and Vice-President of Dow Chemical,” Zhumabaiuly said. By Aidana Ussupova
