Iranian Foreign Minister to meet with Kazakhstan President

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi will meet with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov, Tengrinews.kz reports citing official representative of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry Altai Abibullayev. "Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi will render a working visit to Astana on June 26-27. The visit will include meetings with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov. In the meeting the parties are going to discuss prospects of bilateral cooperation in politics, trade and economy, as well as interaction within international organizations," Abibullayev said. According to the official representative, the meeting of Kazakhstan-Iranian inter-government commission is scheduled for the same days. The Kazakhstan party will be represented by Minister of Transport and Communications Askar Zhumagaliyve, while Iran will be represented by Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi. "The 12th meeting of Kazakhstan-Iranian inter-government commission is scheduled for the same period of June 26-27 in Astana to cover trade and economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation," Abibullayev added. According to him, the parties will discuss the course of performance of the agreements reached at the 11th meeting of the commission and will define mutually beneficial promising directions of cooperation. The official representative stressed that the commodities turnover between Kazakhstan and Iran made $110 million in 2011. By Aidana Ussupova
