Nursultan Nazarbayev pledged to protection Kazakhstan's national interests and wellbeing of its citizens in his speech at the official inauguration ceremony on April 29, Tengrinews reports.


Nursultan Nazarbayev pledged to protection Kazakhstan's national interests and wellbeing of its citizens in his speech at the official inauguration ceremony on April 29, Tengrinews reports.

“In pursuance of our country's Constitution, I've just taken the oath on the eve of the bright Unity Day holiday (May 1). The past election showed the unity of our people. I am grateful to our people. We have demonstrated to the world our unity and solidarity. The past election will go down in history as the largest election in terms of voters turnout,” Nazarbayev said during the inauguration ceremony.

“Kazakhstanis took confidence in me and once again called to serve my Motherland. Together, we have covered a difficult journey, learned to believe in our strengths, built the state, presented the new Kazakhstan to the world, and discovered ourselves as a united great nation. Your trust has always inspired me. Now, with all due responsibility I want to say that I will continue protecting our country, wellbeing of all citizens and national interest of (Kazakhstan),” Nazarbayev said.

The inauguration of the President of Kazakhstan took place in Astana on April 29. Five salvos were made before the ceremony began symbolizing 5 years the five year presidential term. For President Nazarbayev it was the 5th consecutive term in office.
