Chairman of China Hu Jintao is confident that Kazakhstan will hold EXPO-2017 successfully and in a special way, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan President’s press-service. “This is the international community’s acknowledgement of Kazakhstan’s success in social and economic development. I am confident that Kazakhstan will be able to hold a successful, bright and special Global Exhibition,” Hu Jintao writes in the letter congratulating his Kazakhstan colleague on winning the right to host EXPO-2017. Hu Jintao thanked Kazakhstan President for his congratulatory letter on successful completion of the 18th meeting of the Communist Party of China. Hu Jintao wished health and success to Nursultan Nazarbayev and prosperity to Kazakhstan and its people. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that Astana won the bid to host EXPO-2017. Kazakhstan’s main competitor was the Belgian city of Liege. Astana got 103 votes, while Liege received only 44.
