The EXPO-2017 in Astana will become a center for transition to the third industrial revolution, Tengrinews.kz reports referring to Kazakhstan President's official website citing Nursultan Nazarbayev as saying at the meeting of the current development of the country. "This year we have to complete all the designing issues and start the construction works. It is important to make the EXPO-2017 a center for transition to the third industrial revolution that includes development of an alternative economy, creation of highly technological materials, renewable energy sources, training personnel and other issues," Nursultan Nazarbayev said. The meeting that covered organization of the EXPO-2017 in Astana was attended by Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov, head of the President's Administration Karim Massimov and then First Deputy Chairman of Nur Otan party Bakytzhan Sagintayev. Later the same day Sagintayev was appointed First Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan.
