Gulshara Abdykalikova appointed Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan
Gulshara Abdykalikova has been appointed Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan, official website of the Kazakhstan President. "Herewith Gulshara Abdykalikova is appointed Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan," the presidential decree reads. A new Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan was appointed as well. "Yerbol Orynbayev is released from his duties of Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan and appointed Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan," Akorda website reports. Gulshara Abdykalikova was born in Syrdarya region of Kyzylorda Oblast in southern Kazakhstan. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics. During her career she used to hold the positions of Director of the Human Services and Social Policy Department in the Labor and Social Security Ministry of Kazakhstan, Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Security of Kazakhstan, CEO of state-run Life-Insurance Company JSC. She used to be Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Kazakhstan, Minister and then Advisor to the Kazakhstan President. The new Deputy Prime-Minister is also the chairwoman of the National Commission for Women's Affair, Family and Demographic Policies. Yerbol Orynbayev has been Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan for almost 6 years. Previously he was Deputy Akim (Governor) of South Kazakhstan Oblast, Head of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms, Deputy Head of the Social Economic Reforms Department of the Presidential Administration and Director of a department of the Agency for State Services. He served as Vice-Minister of Economy and Budget Planning between 2002 and 2003. Then he was appointed Deputy Head of the Kazakhstan Presidential Administration in 2004. Then he headed the Prime-Minister’s Office from 2007 to 2008. And in 2008 he was appointed Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan.
