Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received credentials from ambassadors of a number of countries, citing the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
A credential ceremony was held at Akorda, where the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of two states formally presented their documents to the President.
The credentials were handed over by Antonia Katsouri, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic (Greece), and José de Castro Ataíde Amaral, Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic.
In his welcoming remarks, Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan pursues an exclusively peaceful foreign policy.
According to the President, all major issues facing the modern world should be resolved only through peaceful means, using diplomatic channels and instruments.
Tokayev also conveyed greetings to the heads of state and government of Greece and Portugal and invited them to visit Astana.
In closing, Tokayev congratulated the ambassadors on the official start of their diplomatic missions in Kazakhstan and reaffirmed that the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are ready to provide comprehensive support.
