Prime-Minister of Georgia arrived in Kazakhstan with a working visit, Tengrinews.kz reports. “The visit of the Georgian Prime-Minister includes bilateral meetings with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov to discuss development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, as well as interaction of our countries under international organizations,” official representative of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry Altai Abibullayev said in a press briefing on December 5. Prime-Minister of Georgia has already visited Kazakhstan in April 2010. Kazakhstan is currently a major investor in Georgia. According to Kazakhstan Statistics Agency, commodities turnover between the two countries made $90 million in 2010: import made $21 million and export made $68.5 million. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported about business-forum in Tbilisi where memorandums of intentions were signed with Georgian buyers. Kazakh company Rza signed a contract on supply of rice grits and processed grain products, Kentau transformers factory will supply transformers for construction of power plant and Maslodel-Trade will work with Georgian partners to supply fat and oil products. 20 producers from Kazakhstan presented their goods at Kazakhstan-Georgian business-forum in Tbilisi.
