The President of France will render an official visit to Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the Kazakhstan President’s official website. “Cooperation between our countries has been developing dynamically. Three months ago I met with French President Francois Hollande and we are now expecting him for a visit to Kazakhstan. France is one of our biggest investors among the EU countries. We are currently implementing 25 joint projects in different areas and prospects of development of the bilateral interaction are very good,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said. The Kazakhstan President told that work was being performed in the framework of the bilateral commission called Nazarbayev-Hollande and it was important that these meetings continue. President also noted that the visit of the French Foreign Minister certified that enhancement of the bilateral relations continued at a high pace. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius thanked Nazarbayev and passed good wishes from the French leader. “This meeting is a big honor for me. We met some time ago in Paris to discuss a range of important directions of the bilateral cooperation. The French President is going to visit Kazakhstan upon your invitation in the nearest time. Kazakhstan and France currently have many common positions on a whole range of issues as our countries strive for peace and sustainable development,” Fabius stressed. The Minister noted that the visit to Kazakhstan is aimed at further enhancement and expansion of the bilateral cooperation and implementation of the earlier agreements in different areas. The meeting also covered trade, economic and investment partnership of the two countries. The parties also exchanged their opinions on a wide range of issues of the international policies, regional and global security.
