Freedom of speech is fully observed in Kazakhstan: Nazarbayev Assembly of People of Kazakhstan

Nazarbayev thinks that freedom of speech is observed in Kazakhstan better than in other CIS countries, Tengrinews.kz reports from the 19th session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. “We can state it clearly that the freedom of speech is fully observed in Kazakhstan, according to our legislation. The situation in this area is better and more progressive than any of our partners in CIS, EurAsEC, SCO, etc.,” President said. He considers that punishment for spread of violence, cruelty, terrorism and extremism is much milder in Kazakhstan than in many other countries. Speaking of unity, Nazarbayev said that according to polls, 92 percent of Kazakhstan residents are satisfied with the inter-ethnic situation in country. By Renat Tashkinbayev
