France’s Minister of Industry, Energy and Digital Economy Éric Besson is to visit Kazakhstan November 3-5, Novosti Kazakhstan reports, citing the Foreign Ministry’s Press Service. Éric Besson is expected to meet Prime Minister Karim Massimov, as well as Ministers of Industry, Oil and Gas, leadership of Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund, KazMunaiGas National Oil and Gas Company, Kazakhstan Engineering, KazAtomProm and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Railway Operator. “During the visit, the 1st sitting of the joint laboratory of KazAtomProm and BRGM [French national institute for research on earth and environment sciences] on rare and rare earth metals is to be held”, the statement reads. “Innovations hold a priority place in the economic cooperation of the two nations”, according to the statement.
