After months of tests and interviews, Kazakhstan's A Block of career officials is complete and President Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with them in Astana today, Tengrinews reports. "You are running virtually two thirds of all the managerial processes in the government, that is why I have gathered you here to set the tasks", he began. “Kazakhstan 2050 Strategy and joining the top 30 most developed countries of the world should be our ultimate goal wherever we go. “It was not a coincidence that forming of the A Block and renewing of the core of the government machine was in the beginning of this path. New tasks are ahead of us, and a new approach is required to solve them, a creative and brave one. This is my vision of your mission,” Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, told the newly selected A Block career officials. “We have formed our managerial core practically anew. You have passed a complicated selection, demonstrated excellent knowledge of the laws and proved that you are experts in your field”. “Career growth of state officials is linked to talent and efficiency,” he said adding that career growth has to be well deserved. President Nazarbayev promised to increase salaries of the officials who became members of the A Block by 50 percent. “Good pay to the state officials, especially those in the A Block, is an anti-corruption injection. They have to earn enough to make their living and support their families. That is why starting from January 1 next year your salary will be increase by 50%,” he said.
