Tengrinews.kz – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged Turkic nations to take a firm stance on the situation in Gaza. Speaking at the 11th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Bishkek, Erdogan emphasized the importance of solidarity, according to Anadolu Agency.
“Turkey rejects the atrocities and inhumane massacres in Gaza. I believe the Turkic world must also take a strong position on this matter,” Erdogan stated.
He criticized the international community’s failure to end what he referred to as genocide in the Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza.
Erdogan also expressed hope for lasting peace in the South Caucasus, emphasizing that Azerbaijan’s recent achievements should be solidified through a peace agreement.
Looking ahead, Erdogan highlighted the need for unity and progress within the Turkic world.
“We’ve overcome many obstacles to reach this point, but there is still a long way to go. We will strive to make the coming period the ‘Century of the Turkic World,’” he declared.
The summit, chaired by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, brought together leaders from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Hungary.
