Dulat Aitzhanov has been appointed chairman of KazAgro, Tengrinews.kz reports. Minister of Agriculture Assylzhan Mamytbekov introduced the new chairman to the personnel. Former chairman Berik Beissengaliyev was released from his office to be transferred to a new job. Prior to becoming chairman of KazAgro National Management Holding, Dulat Aitzhanov used to be adviser of first Vice Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov. Assylzhan Mamytbekov thanked Beissengaliyev for his work and awarded him with an honorary certificate of Kazakhstan Agriculture Ministry, as well as Auylsharuashylygy Salasynyn uUdigi decoration for his contribution into development of the Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector. Dulat Aitzhanov was born in Almaty in 1968. He graduated as a lawyer from Almaty State University. In different years he held positions of Head of the Legal Department of Kazkommertsbank, Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Chairman of KazAgroFinance. He was awarded with Kurmet decoration (for his contribution into development of the economy and excellent state service), medals timed to the 10th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence and the 50th anniversary of the Virgin Lands Reclamation program and a medal For Excellent Work Results. He is married, has two daughters and two sons. Vice Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov was appointed chairman of the board of KazAgro National Management Holding in the end of August. He replaced Agricultural Minister Assylzhan Mamytbekov on this position.
