Committee heads of Kazakh Energy Ministry appointed

Committee heads of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy have been appointed, Tengrinews reports citing the press service of the Ministry.

Committee heads of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy have been appointed, Tengrinews reports citing the press service of the Ministry.

The newly formed huge Ministry of Energy absorbed the functions and powers of the Ministry of Oil and Gas, Ministry of Industry and New Technologies and Ministry of Environment and Water Resources after the recent government reorganization in Kazakhstan which saw a massive rearrangement of 17 ministries, 9 agencies, 54 committees and 272 departments into 12 ministries and about 30 committees. 

Talgat Momyshev was appointed Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Regulation, Control and State Inspection of Oil and Gas Industry.

Mr. Momyshev previously served as Chairman of the Committee for State Inspection of Oil and Gas Industry of Kazakhstan’s former Ministry of Oil and Gas.

Sungat Yesimkhanov became the Chairman of the Committee for Atomic and Energetic Supervision and Control.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Yesimkhanov presided over KazakhEnergoExpertise, one of Kazakhstan's largest and fastest-growing companies dealing with energy expertise.
